P-Rank: a publication ranking
Welcome to P-Rank, a publication ranking intended to increase recognition of scholars with notable publication output (you can add your publications in the Profile section).
There are many different ways in which notable publication output can be identified. Therefore, P-Rank comprises several rankings in which different journals are listed and further rankings may be added in the future (see Provisions). Also, P-Rank allows to adjust the way in which co-authored publications are counted. A description how P-Rank evaluates scholarly output can be found in the Methodology section.
In order to better acknowledge the publication output of young scholars, P-Rank provides multiple versions of each ranking, where in each version only those articles which have been published since a particular year are considered. Similarly, P-Rank allows to restrict the ranking to certain regions and countries in order to acknowledge potential differences in the research environment.
Please select one of the below rankings available in P-Rank.

• If no countries or regions are listed below, all authors are considered. Otherwise, only those authors are considered who have an affiliation in the following regions and countries:

Methodology
For each author, P-Rank determines the articles which are published in journals listed in the journal list of the selected ranking. For each of these articles, the journal score is multiplied with
and, if the result is positive, it is added to the total points of the author.

The journals in the list with their respective scores are shown below:

Please register with ORCID to add or update your publications and affiliation. This may take up to a minute until the relevant data is fetched.
The following data is connected to your ORCID record:

Publications
Your ORCID record shows you are the author of the following publications:
Note: If above list does not show all your articles, please make sure that your articles are publicly visible in your ORCID record and that a valid Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is provided. Articles without a DOI (these are marked with the symbol ) and articles published in outlets without ISSN are not considered in the ranking. You may have to click the synchronise button above after adding articles to your ORCID record. Publications can easily be added to your ORCID record with an import from other systems.
Endorsers
Endorsements help to develop the ranking and its position. Please consider endorsing P-Rank yourself.
The following scholars endorse P-Rank:
Provisions
- P-Rank does not maintain a complete list of all relevant scholars and publications and will never be able to achieve completeness. Scholars are encouraged to add their ORCID iD in the Profile sectionon the P-Rank webpage, link their publications to their ORCID iD, and make them publicly visible. ORCID works with member organizations to make it easy to add publications to an ORCID iD.
- P-Rank does not collect any primary data and only collects data which is publicly seen in the ORCID record of included scholars. As P-Rank is fully based on user input, it may be subject to incomplete information, e.g., missing author names, affiliations, or publications. Scholars who have connected their ORCID iD to P-Rank, can check their record in the Profile sectionon the P-Rank webpage.
- P-Rank seeks to maintain up-to-date information concerning the publication output of scholars, however, P-Rank does not perpetually poll ORCID for updates. Thus, there might be a delay in obtaining information about new articles and different author profiles may have received their last update at different times.
- P-Rank is based on the belief that every ranking has severe shortcomings in respect to comparing productivity of scholars. Nevertheless, publishing research articles plays a major role in research dissemination and P-Rank aims at increasing recognition of scholars with notable publication output. P-Rank can not define what should be considered as notable publication output and encourages proposals for journal lists to be added to P-Rank. Please send such proposals to ranking@telematique.eu.
- P-Rank must not be used as the sole mean of productivity assessment of individual scholars. Such assessments should always be based on a holistic evaluation of all relevant scholarly activities, including those which are not considered by P-Rank.
